Royal Palm Genus Details
Royal palms are native to southern Florida and Cuba. The lower leaves of the palms droop and the central leaves are upright. Royal palms can grow to 70' tall and sway gracefully in the breeze. The trunk of the palm is swollen slightly in the center but then tapers down to the base. Male and female flowers are separate but in the same cluster.
